POLICY
It is the policy of Scolari’s Food and Drug Company to accept Manufacturers coupons for items actually purchased for the benefit of our Customers and Associates.
TYPES:
1. Manufacturer Coupons
2. Scolari’s in Store Coupons
3. Internet, print at home Coupons
PROCEDURES FOR MANUFACTURER COUPONS / SCOLARI’S STORE COUPONS
1. All associates must adhere to Scolari’s Coupon Policy and abide by the policies and guidelines printed on the coupons.
2. All associates will redeem coupons only for specific items included in our customers purchase transaction. If there is question about a coupon’s legitimacy (distorted, blurry or altered), a manager should determine whether a coupon should be accepted.
3. Coupons are intended for one time use and cannot be redeemed more than once.
4. We only accept manufacturer coupons / Scolari’s store coupons of the relevant product and will not accept photo copies of coupons.
5. We will not accept manufacturer coupons / store coupons (including but not limited to, coupons through a Catalina or other in-store coupon dispenser) that display another retailer’s logo.
6. Sales tax will be applied according to Nevada / California law, regardless of any coupon or other discount that may apply to the purchase transaction.
7. Coupons have no cash value.
8. We do not allow a customer to redeem two or more manufacturer coupons against the same item.
COUPON ACCEPTANCE:
Checkers and/or Point of Sale Associates who are provided coupons at the time of purchase should check the coupons for the following;
1. All coupons must have an expiration date. Expired coupons will not be accepted.
2. Manufacturer coupon contract statement, including redemption center address.
3. Product meets coupon requirements (ie: size of item or flavor)
INVALID COUPONS:
1. Coupons that require mail in rebates
2. Coupons that have been duplicated on a copier, scanner or digital camera and computer. This does not include manufacturer authorized Internet Print-at-Home Coupons. See the Internet Print-at-Home Coupons section for more information about these coupons.
3. Competitor coupons (Including but not limited to: Raley's, Smiths, Albertson’s, Safeway, Von’s Wal-Mart, Winco, Save-Mart, Target, PetCo, Toys R Us, etc.)
4. Expired coupons.
INTERNET PRINT-AT-HOME COUPONS
Coupons printed from the Internet will not have any writing or printing on the back of the coupon.
The following Internet Print-at-Home Coupons can not be accepted:
1. Coupons offering a FREE item
2. Coupons offering a savings of $5.00 or more.
3. Coupons issued by a competitor. (See list above)
4. Coupons that are photocopies of Internet Print-at-Home coupons.
Internet Print-at-Home coupons can only be accepted from a customer if:
1. The coupon will scan
2. The coupon is not on the INVALID COUPON list above.
Internet Print-at-Home Coupons will have the following information on the face of the coupon:
1. Coupon Serial Number or Pin Number.
2. Dealer warning information.
3. Coupon void if copied or transferred
4. Bar Code
5. Retailer Information/contract
DOUBLE COUPONS:
Manufacturer Coupons will be doubled in value, subject to expiration date and the following exclusions.
1. If the coupon states “DO NOT DOUBLE” the coupon will be taken at face value.
2. If the double portion of the coupon exceeds the value of the item the coupon cannot be doubled and must be taken at face value.
3. If a coupon exceeds a $1.00 the coupon cannot be doubled and must be taken at face value.
4. A maximum of 3 items for each of the same coupon offering will be doubled per customer, per transaction within a 24 hour period
a. All other coupons for that coupon offering will be taken at face value.
5. Offer excludes all Liquor, Tobacco, Regulated Dairy, Store Coupons or Coupons that exceed the value of the item.
ALL OTHER COUPON POLICIES THAT APPLY TO DOUBLE COUPONS ARE FOUND IN THE MANUFACTURER COUPON PROCEDURES.
Scolari’s Food & Drug Co reserves the right to change these procedures at any time. All coupon redemption terms are subject to the terms of the rules in effect at time of redemption. Rule changes may become effective without advance notice or advertisement.
