Chili with Ground Beef and Rice

Ingredients

3 lbs ground beef (browned & drained)
1/2 whole onion (chopped)
2 quart (1 large can ) tomato juice
4 Tbsp. uncooked rice
30 oz (2 cans) chili beans
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 Cup sugar
1 tsp chili powder or more, to taste

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together in a slow cooker. Add water if this is too thick for you. Cook in the slow cooker on low for 6 to 8 hours or cook in 250° oven for 2 to 3 hours.

Freezes well.
